I’m glad you’re here!
Hello! I’m Katie Armstrong a Registered Dietitian who specializes in performance nutrition and longevity for elite and aspiring athletes!
My passion for performance nutrition began during my time as a collegiate track & cross-country athlete. Early in my running career, I struggled with conflicting advice about fueling properly. Lacking the knowledge to meet my unique needs led to injuries and poor health, jeopardizing both my athletic performance and long-term health. I’m here to ensure you don’t make the same mistakes countless athletes—including myself—have made.
While my primary focus is performance nutrition, I take great pride in serving as a trusted resource for my community. Nutrition can often feel overwhelming, but my goal is to simplify the process by cutting through the noise and creating personalized strategies that truly work for you—whether you’re striving to enhance athletic performance, manage a chronic condition, or simply lead a healthier, more balanced life.
Professional Experience
I have had the privilege of working with elite athletes in the NBA, WNBA, and MLB, as well as supporting independent athletes in achieving their goals in endurance events like half and full marathons. My work has included helping athletes optimize body composition, recover from injuries, and enhance their overall performance.
In addition to my experience in sports nutrition, I have worked clinically in rehabilitation settings. There, I have helped individuals with chronic health conditions use nutrition as a tool to promote healing, improve their quality of life, and regain their independence.
Credentials & Education
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Northwest Missouri State University and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition with an emphasis in sports nutrition from Arizona State University. My master’s thesis focused on the impact of hydration on human performance. I became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in 2022. Currently, I am pursuing the board certification as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) to further enhance my expertise in performance nutrition.
